Located at 69 Neil Road, Lotus on Water’s new gallery and retail space is a stunning transformation of a three-storey heritage shophouse with over 100 years of history. Once home to the Kwangtung Hui Kuan of Singapore, the building now serves as a sanctuary where Fengshui clients, art collectors, and VIP guests can recharge, explore, attend talks and workshops, and discover meaningful Fengshui treasures.

A Heritage Space with Modern Purpose

Our design honours the rich history of the shophouse while giving it a fresh new life as a gallery and retail destination. Every detail was carefully considered to create a balance between tradition and modernity, luxury and comfort.

A Bold Use of Colours

One of the most unique challenges of this project was incorporating 22 different colours, a personal request from Master Yun. While such a wide palette had the potential to overwhelm, our design approach ensured that colours, furnishings and paintings harmonised beautifully, creating a cohesive yet dynamic visual journey across all three floors.

A vibrant red was used for the stairwell, an unconventional choice which could have turned out poorly if executed without careful consideration. Our designers worked closely with Master Yun and Mr Kan, resulting in a red that contrasted and complemented the gold frames of Master Yun’s paintings beautifully.

More Than a Gallery

With Lotus on Water, we aimed to create an immersive experience, where design, heritage, Fengshui, and art come together to inspire and rejuvenate. The result is a one-of-a-kind interior that reflects the vision of Master Yun Long Zi while respecting the legacy of a historic Singapore shophouse.

A Fusion of Cultures and Styles

The interiors are fitted with antiques that Master Yun Long Zi, founder of Lotus on Water, has sourced from across the globe, blending Asian and Western influences seamlessly. Adding to this layered aesthetic are the vibrant works of Master Yun, whose colourful paintings bring energy and character to the space.

Craftsmanship and Care

With no lift in the building, our team carried every heavy piece of furniture, antique, and chandelier by hand up the stairs. This labour of care underscores the attention to detail and dedication we bring to each project.
